Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation (Training for Independence- Adults Other Injury)

Assessment and treatment for spinal cord injury patients who have been discharged from Burwood Spinal Unit would benefit from further rehabilitation following subsequent assessments or further surgery (tendon transplants/ internal fixation removal/ shunt) . Spinal cord rehabilitation can include facilitation of transfers, assisted walking and strengthening following improvement in muscle innervation. Provision is by a specialist physiotherapists experienced in work with patients with spinal cord injury.
