Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation (TI- Adults Other Injury)

Assessment and treatment for spinal cord injury patients who have been discharged from Burwood Spinal Unit and following subsequent assessments or further surgery (tendon transplants/ internal fixation removal/ shunt) would benefit from further rehabilitation. Spinal cord rehabilitation can include facilitation of transfers, assisted walking and strengthening following improvement in muscle innervation. Provision is via specialist physiotherapists experienced in work with patients with spinal cord injury.
