Concussion Service / Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI)

SRI has a full suite of clinicians, services, facilities and eduction materials available for those with post-concussion syndrome or mild to moderate head injury. The concussion service is to help people to manage the effects of their concussion and to accurately assess the nature and extent of their injury.

The concussion service is for people who have had a concussion (also known as a mild traumatic brain injury) and includes initial educations sessions with an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist. After the initial education sessions a Neuropsychoglical assessment and medical reviews may be required and these are carried out by a  Neuropsychologist and a Rehabilitation Medical Specialist.
