Concussion Service / Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI)

Education and assessments are provided by Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Neuropsychologist and Rehabilitation Medical Specialist. Education and follow-up training sessions for people who have had a concussion also known as a mild traumatic brain injury. Neuropsychoglical assessment and medical review as required.

Currently, ACC patients now access this service via their GP or 24hr/ Emergency Department, referring them for the concussion service via an ACC Case Manager. Patients can request to receive their concussion managemetn via SRI.

SRI has a full suite of clinicians, services, facilities and eduction materials available for those with post-concussion syndrome or mild to moderate head injury.
